Alex is an award-winning Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Resilience professional. He is the Founder and Managing Director of StoneRoad, a consulting and training company, and in the fall of 2023 became the co-owner of SpeaknSpark. 

 Alex has helped numerous organizations build their BCM and Resilience programs enabling them to prepare for, respond to, and overcome adverse situations. His ultimate goal is to reduce the suffering that can be brought as a result of unexpected situations. 

 He contributes tirelessly to the BCM/Resilience industry by authoring eight (8) books, presenting at conferences around the globe, and in October of 2017 he created and became the host of what is arguably the first podcast/talk radio show focusing on the BCM and Resilience realms (Preparing for the Unexpected), which airs on the VoiceAmerica Talk Radio Network with thousands of listeners around the globe. He also started a YouTube channel of the same name in 2020. 

 Alex considers himself a life-long learner, and along the way has picked up certifications with the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), Disaster Recovery Institute (CBCP), a Certified Business Resiliency Auditor (CBRA), certified in Adaptive Business Continuity Foundations (cABCF), a Certified Organizational Resilience Specialists (CORS)…and more. In 2022 he was awarded the ‘Global Achievement Award’ by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).
